Good bye Marina di Ragusa!

First sail/motor of the 2021 season.

Officially checked out last week so a bit late getting our mooring lines undone. To be fair, it was blowing 40+knots at the time. A crowd was watching our Marina departure for some light comedy, but we successfully missed everything and scraped out of the Marina entrance with 30 cm under the keel.

8 hours later we arrived in PortoPalo on the S/E of Sicily.

Nice little harbour but woke up to little fishing boats around us with nets hooked up in the chain. Sorted amicably and we were off for Augusta or thereabouts.

Calm sea and the iron sail did us proud. We were tailed by the Polizia di Finsia (Customs) boat for a while but they obviously saw us as fine upstanding illegal immigrants and let us be.
